About Us
When you set up as a tutor, your intention would have been to share your expertise in your specialist field, watching your students' confidence grow and making a difference to students' lives.
At the time, you probably hadn't anticipated how much an additional burden 'business matters' could be, and how much this would get in the way of tutoring availability and tutoring time, having to allocate time to finding new students, managing bookings, cancellations, invoices, technology, accounting and keeping up to date with compliance, industry updates and safeguarding.
When you tutor with us, we do all of this so you don't have to!

Supporting you as an individual
When you tutor with us, our aim is for you to be able to spend more time on practical tutoring. From onboarding new tutors to scheduling, invoicing and finding new students to work with, we have invested in systems and processes to simplify, automate and support you to focus on your specialism and what you do best.

When you tutor with us, we provide you with structured processes and resources. We manage student and tutor expectations throughout the tuition journey to provide transparency and maintain efficiency.
A Sense of Community
We love helping tutors to excel in their own way - whatever that may mean to you. We understand that every tutor is unique.
Tutoring can be quite a lonely, isolating profession at times, and not everyone wants to grow their business by taking on more tutors. Through working with us we can introduce you to other tutors to create connections and support you day to day.
Keeping you up to date
We can support you in keeping up-to-date with new legislation, whether that be in relation to tutoring or business.
We are members of The Tutors' Association, the UK's leading professional membership body for tutors and the supplementary education sector, which is dedicated to representing and supporting tutors through high standards, valuable resources, and a collaborative community.
How we operate
We identify as a Tuition Employment Business.
- When you tutor with us we offer you more than just an introduction; this is a partnership where we can learn from each other and constantly grow and improve. You decide how much or how little engagement you want from us but we are here to support you.
- We will only engage with Freelance Tutors and there is no restriction on working with us as well as your own students.
- We invoice our clients (student families) for the full tuition fee in advance of the tutoring session at the beginning of the month and we pay our freelance tutors monthly.
- We manage lesson booking through Tutor Cruncher and have clear processes and procedures regarding cancellations, payments and notice periods to minimise disruption to the teaching schedule.
- Registering with us does not guarantee work. We will never charge you to onboard with us, but you will be required to have an enhanced DBS in place when you join us. If you do not have this, we can refer you to a supplier that can assist you. We do not receive any payment or commission to do this.
What we are looking for:
- We are looking for enthusiastic, empathetic, organised and professionally qualified freelance tutors
- Able to deliver high quality, specialist tuition
- Able to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours of tutoring per week to our students
- Able to increase your hours as your schedule permits.
Our Requirements:
- An enhanced DBS certification and the willingness to maintain this throughout your engagement.
- We only work with tutors that hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are resident in the UK
- We are a specialist Tutoring Employment Business; we only work with Subject Matter Experts in Maths, English and Science
- Willingness to undergo Safeguarding training at least annually and provide evidence of this training when requested.
The Personalised Learning Experience:
- Every student is unique. They have different requirements and different ways of learning.
- We work with tutors who are able to quickly identify how to help students to bring their best to their sessions and support them in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
- We request regular feedback from our tutors and our parents/students. This helps us to identify what we are doing well, and what we are not doing so well, maintaining our desire to continuously improve our offering to both tutors and students.
